Amber Alpaugh-Bishop, Director, Planning and Integration

Amber Alpaugh-Bishop graduated from the University of Waterloo with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 1998. Amber became one of the first 55 ergonomists in Canada to be certified by the Canadian College of Ergonomists and she is also a Registered Kinesiologist. For 15 years, Amber was dedicated to preventing workplace injuries, as an Ergonomics Researcher, Plant Ergonomist, Ergonomics Consultant, and Health and Safety Manager. In 2013, she transitioned into healthcare planning and improvement, supporting access to the right care, in the right place, at the right time, as the Access to Care Project Manager for the South West LHIN. Since 2014, Amber has been supporting the planning, implementation, sustainability, and spread of the Health Links approach to Coordinated Care Planning, aimed at improving coordination of care, experience, and outcomes for people living with multiple chronic conditions. Currently, as the Director, Planning and Integration Elgin Sub-Region, Amber provides leadership for the engagement, planning, integration, and improvement initiatives with the sub-region. From a LHIN-wide leadership perspective, Amber supports ongoing improvements in Mental Health and Addictions care and the Health Links approach to care. Amber is energized by pursuing improvements aimed at supporting the health and wellbeing of the most vulnerable populations in our communities. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering for various organizations; Amber is a snowboard patroller at Osler Bluff Ski Club, secretary for her children's Home and School Committee, and Girls Field Lacrosse Team Manager with the London Minor Lacrosse Association.
