French Language Services
It is well documented that health outcomes are ultimately improved if patients receive care in the language they are most comfortable with. The LHIN aims to support our French designated and identified health service providers in developing and implementing French lanuguage services plans, including strategies and objectives to improve access to services in French.
The French Language Services Toolkit
The toolkit supports designated and identified health service providers in implementing and delivering quality services in French, as per their mandate. It is also a useful resource for other health service providers in meeting the needs of their patients/clients. It is our hope that through the use of the toolkit, our French designated and identified health service providers will use the information to provide even better care to our Francophone residents, through the delivery of culturally sensitive care.
The Provincial French Language Services Network will work collaboratively to develop and implement consistent provincial approaches to strategic French language services priorities, always applying best practices
