Michael Barrett

Chief Executive Officer
Michael Barrett has more than 27 years of experience in municipal planning and health care administration, in increasingly more responsible positions with the County of Oxford, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre, and St. Joseph’s Health Care London. Michael joined the South West LHIN in 2007 and was appointed the Chief Executive Officer in 2008. Michael provides leadership to several key provincial initiatives including, the Provincial Council for Maternal and Child Health, the Province of Ontario Digital Health Board, the Public Health Executive Steering Committee, Critical Care Services Ontario, and the Southwestern Ontario Academic Health Network. Michael also volunteers with the Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario Board of Directors as the Past-President, and as a member of the National Ronald McDonald House Charities of Canada Board of Directors.

Mark Brintnell

Senior Director, Performance and Accountability
Mark Brintnell brings his focus and experience in financial and program accountability, business planning and analysis and performance management within the healthcare field. As Senior Director, Performance & Accountability, Mark is responsible for providing strategic and operational direction to the financial management and performance improvement mandate of the LHIN. Previously, Mark held positions with London’s hospitals, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. Mark joined the South West LHIN in 2006.

Kelly Gillis

Senior Director, System Design and Integration
Kelly Gillis has over 25 years of health care leadership experience having spent the majority of her career in leadership roles focused on health care strategic planning and system integration within southwestern Ontario. Kelly joined the South West LHIN in 2006 as the Senior Director, Planning, Integration and Community Engagement. Since joining the LHIN Kelly has provided leadership and guidance to the development of health system plans and implementation of complex change initiatives within the South West LHIN. Kelly has also provided leadership to a number of pan-LHIN priority areas of focus such as hospice palliative care, alignment of quality improvement activities in partnership with HQO, and most recently LHIN Renewal. Prior to joining the LHIN, Kelly worked for London's hospitals as Director of Medical Affairs. She was also the Systems Integration Leader for the Huron Perth Hospitals Partnership and worked as a senior health planner with the Huron Perth and Thames Valley District Health councils.

Ashley Jackson

Director, Communications and Community Engagement
Ashley Jackson brings a decade of experience in communications to the South West LHIN. Ashley’s experience in public sector communications comes from the federal level having worked for both Health Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Before joining the South West LHIN in November 2014, Ashley planned and directed communication campaigns for a private agency. She has built a career in strategic communications planning, issues management, and proactive outreach campaigns. Ashley is a graduate of Carleton University’s school of Journalism.

Lorri Lowe

Lorri Lowe

Controller, Manager of Corporate Services
Lorri Lowe comes to us with considerable experience in both financial accounting and organizational development. Most recently, Lorri was the Executive Director of the Maitland Valley Family Health Team in Goderich, a position she has held since the Family Health Team was first established in 2007. Lorri is a Fellow of the Chartered Professionals Accountants of Ontario (FCPA), and is currently the Chair of the Certified Management Accountants of Canada. Lorri has also served on a number of other non-profit boards of directors and earned the designation of Chartered Director in 2012.
