New Physician Lead Joining the South West LHIN

London, ON – Michael Barrett, CEO of the South West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), is pleased to announce Dr. Keith Dyke of Southampton has accepted the role of Primary Care Co-Lead where he will provide leadership, influence change, and act as a linkage between physicians and the LHIN.

Dr. Dyke has been practicing medicine for over 14 years with extensive experience in family medicine, emergency medicine and hospital inpatient care. He has been operating a family practice at the Southampton Medical Clinic since 2002. He is currently the Chief Physician for Bruce Power, a Victoria Order of Nurses (VON) Medical Consultant, and a Coroner for the Province of Ontario. Dr. Dyke was elected President of the Bruce County Medical Society in District 3 of the Ontario Medical Association in 2015.

He served as a Board Member and Co-President of Medical Staff at Grey Bruce Health Services from 2006-2009, and is an Adjunct Professor with both Western University and the University of Toronto. In 2016, he was awarded the Hollister King Teaching Practices Preceptor Award from the University of Toronto for outstanding teacher who best exemplifies the ideals of excellence in Family Medicine.

Together with Primary Care Lead Dr. Gord Schacter from London and Primary Care Co-Lead Dr. Paul Gill from Goderich, they will provide leadership to strengthen and advance primary care within the South West LHIN through enhanced collaboration and integration of health care services. The Leads advise the LHIN on primary care issues, maintain a strong connection with local primary care providers, and assist with strategies to engage primary care to advance key priorities, all with the intent of improving care for patients and families.
